Billie’s Story: “I didn’t know how I was going to move forward.”
Before joining Cleaning for Hope, Billie was facing uncertainty and trying to balance the demands of life without a clear path forward. Through the program, she gained hands-on training, support, and the confidence to take the next step.
In Her Words: My name is Billie, and I am a proud single mother of two beautiful daughters. Being a single mom comes with many challenges, and there have been many times in my life when I felt overwhelmed, uncertain, and alone. But today, I stand here stronger, more confident, and filled with gratitude.
I want to give a heartfelt thank you to Carla and Sasha. You both have truly been a blessing in my life and the lives of my children. Your support, guidance and encouragement have helped me grow in ways I didn’t think were possible.
Because of you, I have gained confidence in myself, especially in the workforce. I’ve learned how to hold myself accountable and push forward, even when things get difficult. You helped me see that I am capable, strong and deserving of success!
Hope for Single Moms has changed my life! From helping me get new tires for my car to supporting me as I continue to build my business cleaning headstones, you’ve given me not just resources—but motivation and belief. You reminded me that I don’t have to do this alone.
There were moments when I felt like I had no one, but this group showed me what real support and family look like. You gave me strength during my lowest times and helped me find hope again.
Today, I am walking with more purpose, more confidence, and a stronger mindset, not just for myself, but for my daughters. I want them to see that no matter how hard life gets, you can rise, grow and keep going.

Candace’s Story: “Before this program, I felt stuck.”
Before Cleaning for Hope, Candace was doing everything she could—but still couldn’t get ahead. The stress of providing for her family while trying to find stable work felt overwhelming.
Through the program, she gained more than just job skills. She gained confidence, real work experience, and support that helped her keep moving forward.
Today, Candace is working at Dsquared, providing for her children, and beginning to build a future that once felt out of reach. She plans on going to college.
In Her Words: My name is Candace, and I am a mother of three beautiful children. Before joining Hope for Single Moms, I truly felt like I was navigating motherhood completely alone. There were moments when I felt like I was breaking into a million pieces over and over again, without a clear way forward. The hardest part was turning around and seeing my three young children looking to me for guidance, even when I felt lost myself.
Hope For Single Moms didn’t just support me, it changed the entire trajectory of my life! They gave me the tools I needed to face the real challenges of motherhood with strength and confidence. Through their workshops, I began to break cycles that once held me back and slowly became fearless in situations that used to overwhelm me.
What impacted me the most was the community. I met an incredible group of women who shared the same fears, anxieties, and struggles. Together, we uplifted one another, inspired one another, and reminded each other that we are not alone.
Through this program, I learned how to better manage my emotions, speak with confidence, and truly show up for myself and my children. I gained valuable parenting insight, personal growth, and even developed professional skills that opened new doors for me.
Today, I stand stronger, not just as a mother, but as a woman who believes in herself again. And for that, I am forever grateful!
