As one of the most impactful nonprofits serving women and children in West Michigan, Hope for Single Moms is currently inviting a select group of leaders to join our working board. We believe you—or someone you know—could be the next voice to help us change lives.
Our Mission:
We help single mothers and their children rise out of poverty by removing barriers to career education and supporting the entire family through mentoring, life assistance, and community-building.
Who We’re Looking For:
We’re building a diverse, dynamic, and highly engaged board of directors that meets monthly for one hour. We are especially seeking candidates in the Greater Grand Rapids area who have:
✅ Board experience and are ready to roll up their sleeves
✅ A heart for helping women and children thrive
✅ Expertise in one of the following fields:
- Higher Education – ideally at the post-secondary level
- Banking or Finance – to support program funding growth
- Accounting or Nonprofit Financial Oversight
- Business Leadership or Entrepreneurship – especially as we launch our Cleaning for Hope workforce development program
- Legal – nonprofit compliance, contracts, and growth strategy
