When a mother gains opportunity, a child gains a brighter future. That’s why International Women’s Day holds special meaning at Hope for Single Moms.
On March 8, people around the world celebrate the strength and achievements of women. At Hope for Single Moms, we see that strength every day in mothers balancing work, school, and parenting while pursuing stability for their families.
International Women’s Day is represented by three colors:
💜 Purple – justice and dignity for women
💚 Green – hope and new beginnings
🤍 White – unity and equality
These values reflect the journey of our HSM single mothers working toward brighter futures for their children.
For nearly ten years, Hope for Single Moms has helped remove systemic barriers and provide resources so mothers can pursue education and career pathways — investing over $1 million in families working toward stability and opportunity.
This year we are expanding that work through the Hope Workforce Institute, creating new career pathways like Cleaning for Hope, designed to help mothers gain practical skills and living-wage employment.
Because when mothers succeed, children thrive.
