Have you ever felt like giving up? I know I have. Did you give up and quit? And then wondered what might have been. Or did you persevere? Did you show them? Was it worth it?

I just read the book, “212 The Extra Degree.” The first page reads, “At 211, water is hot. At 212, it boils. And with boiling water comes steam…and with steam you can power a locomotive.” Hmmm. Never thought about it that way.

So, have you given something your all, what the authors call a 212 effort, in your life? Did you succeed? Perhaps. Perhaps not. But if you didn’t achieve the goal you were shooting for, you did achieve your best effort. And for that, there are no regrets. For that, there is no wondering, what if?

Single moms are giving it their all. Half are working minimum-wage jobs and their all isn’t achieving their goals of being able to pay the bills, having healthy, thriving children and time to parent AND enjoy their children.

That’s where you come in. We invite you to become part of their student parent journey. And it is a journey, not a quick fix. Help single moms give their all to a career education. Give them the power, the steam, they need to succeed. What does that look like?
