Ashley N Kinsey

Meet Ashley Kinsey

featured fashion designer for Fashion for a Future 2023!

Ashley Kinsey started drawing dresses as a child after watching Disney’s Cinderella and becoming entranced by the ballgowns swirling around in beautiful colors.  She took this desire and left her Texas home to major in fashion design at Kent State in Ohio.

From there she landed in New York City where she built much of her career.  Spanning the last 19 years, this career has included designing for major retailers Anthropologie, Target, Meijer, and J. Crew, along with several smaller contemporary brands.

Now residing in Grand Rapids, wedding gowns and contemporary evening wear inspired by God’s infinite designs in nature are her specialty.  She utilizes skills such as draping and hand painting silk.

This year her made-to-order collection is inspired by birds and will be debuting as a whole at Fashion For A Future 2023.

You can see her work at ashleynkinsey.com Follow her on Instagram at @ashleynkinsey.
