They did it! So can you!
Hope for Single Moms is not a quick fix. It takes a minimum of two years, usually three, to go from the initial consult, where we develop a career goal and a path to attain it. It involves applying for school, for financial aid, for social services and then, raising a team of support to meet your unmet financial needs. Our goal is to minimize the loans our families need to take to accomplish their education. Then, we work with a family an additional six months as they transition into the workforce.

🌟 Celebrating Michelle’s Inspiring Journey! 🌟
Michelle’s journey is one of determination and success. Joining Hope for Single Moms in September 2023 as a busy mother of three, she pursued her dream of earning a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Michigan. While balancing motherhood and her studies, Michelle also gained valuable experience through an internship with Arbor Circle.
We are thrilled to congratulate Michelle on graduating in June 2024 and on her new full-time position at Arbor Circle! Her perseverance and passion for helping others inspire us all. Way to go, Michelle—your future is bright!

🎉 Celebrating Dannett’s Incredible Journey! 🎉
Dannette’s story is one of resilience, love, and unwavering faith. When she gained custody of her two granddaughters, she became a part of the Hope for Single Moms program. Driven by her goal to share her experiences as a mom and to inspire younger women with God’s great love, Dannette pursued her dream with passion embarking on a nine-month training program.
We are thrilled to celebrate her achievement as a 2022 graduate of the Advanced Ministry Training at Life Center Grand Rapids! Her dedication and hard work are an inspiration to us all. Congratulations, Dannette, on achieving your goal and continuing to make a difference in the lives of others!
Grace
🌟 Celebrating Grace’s Extraordinary Achievement! 🌟
Grace’s story is one of perseverance, dedication, and strength in the face of immense challenges. During the Covid-19 pandemic, she found herself without a job while navigating online classes at Ferris State University, all while managing the responsibilities of parenting her two young sons—Eddie in online kindergarten and Emerson with no daycare available.
Despite these obstacles, Grace maintained her focus, studying early in the morning before her boys woke up. Her determination paid off as she graduated with a perfect 4.0 GPA, earning her Bachelor’s degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Ferris State University in December 2022.
Today, Grace is thriving in her full-time career. Her journey is a true inspiration, showing that with resilience and support, anything is possible. Congratulations, Grace—you are amazing!
Jasmien
🌟 Celebrating Jasmien’s Entrepreneurial Journey! 🌟
We are so proud of Jasmien and her incredible determination to achieve her dreams! After completing a four-week training with Spring GR, she was accepted into their intensive twelve-week program.
Jasmien’s dream is to own her own salon, and she’s well on her way! Currently, she’s wowing clients with her amazing and intricate hairstyles—some of which take an impressive four hours of dedication and hard work to complete. Alongside her styling, Jasmien also sells Monat hair products, available both at the salon and online.

Kennedy
🌟 Celebrating Kennedy’s Hard Work and Success
Kennedy’s journey with Hope for Single Moms began in May 2017, when she was pregnant with her son, Knox. She worked as a server to save money before his birth in July, choosing to spend those precious first months with him.
In January 2018, Kennedy returned to GRCC with the help of her HSM Dream Team and was thrilled to be accepted into the dental assisting program. School became her full-time job, balancing long days of classes, homework, and raising Knox, who enjoyed daycare at GRCC.
After graduating, Kennedy landed a full-time dental assisting position at the office where she completed her internship. Now, she and Knox, who’s growing up fast at age seven, live in a cozy two-bedroom apartment near her work.
We are so proud of Kennedy’s determination, hard work, and dedication to her family and career. We know her bright future is just getting started!
Leslie
🌟 Celebrating Leslie’s Resilience and Success! 🌟
Leslie joined Hope for Single Moms in January 2017, newly pregnant and uncertain about her future. With incredible determination and support, she pursued a brighter path for her and her baby.
Lincoln was born while Leslie was attending daily in-person classes to earn her certificate in medical coding and billing. Her dedication shone through as she took just one week off after his birth—managing schoolwork and exams while caring for her newborn.
Leslie didn’t stop there. She continued her education online, earning the next level of certification while working full-time and raising Lincoln. Balancing the demands of parenthood, work, and school, Leslie achieved her goals with grace and perseverance.
In 2024, Leslie celebrated another milestone—she got married and is now expecting her second child. We’re so proud of Leslie’s hard work and her inspiring journey. Congratulations, Leslie, on building a bright future for your growing family!
